Skinny fit "Siouxie" jean hits the stores!

Finally! The first sign of spring is here ... new clothing in the stores!

Personally after wearing the same damn jeans all winter I enjoy starting spring off with a new pair. These new skinnies from MX might be just what you are looking for. This new style is available in two nice fabric optins, the Stone Fox grey denim from Spain and the Shikoku Island dark rinse denim from Japan. The grey denim has 1% stretch, and the indigo denim has 2% stretch.

If you're looking for a skinny fit with clean looking details, this is the jean for you. The rise is pretty low, but not crazy at 7 1/2". The fit through the bottom and knee is slim, but it won't cut your circulation off. The little bit of stretch keeps them comfy, no one needs to get rug burn from their jeans! The double yoke detail and curving back pocket seams add a bit of interest without being flashy.

This jean is named Siouxie after punk rock goddess Siouxie Sioux, lead singer of Siouxie and the Banshees. She had great style and rocked quite a few different versions of her "look". Ah yes, versatility in fashion, just what everyone needs. I think these jeans just might fit the bill.

Learn more about Siouxie Sioux by clicking on her name or do a google search and come up with lots more info and great pics of her scaring the shit out of everyones parents!

Cozy Sweaters from MX Jeans

Just a quick update, something warm since it's so damn cold out! Fuzzy angora blend sweaters to help warm you up.

Both the long sleeved V-neck and cropped 3/4 sleeve cardigan have gorgeous beading/crochet detail up the back, tiny matte silver beads nestled amongst crocheted goodness. They kind of have a vintagey feel without the boxy vintagey fit.

Availabe in cream and black, get them while they last! Available at various boutiques across Canada, drop us a line if you need more details where to find MX.

Coloured Jeans!

That's right, just in time for holiday parties, the new stretch twill coloured jeans are here! Available in Red, White, Navy and Black at Maison Simons in Montreal and in Red and White at Headquarters Galerie & Boutique.

The fit is our basic skinny jean, Penelope, named after iconic 60's model Penelope Tree. The front rise is 8", neither too high nor too low, the perfect basic skinny for either tucking into boots, or scrunching over shoes. You'll recognize this sleek jean by the striped flag ID label on the back pocket hem ... and that's it! No other outer labels for a super clean modern look.

Finally!!!

Run Down to Your Nearest Boutique to Check Out the Fall 2006 Collection

Here are some pics of a few items from the Fall 06 collection, in stores right now

It's getting chilly, time for a new coat! The tweed coat with piping and satin lining is available in 2 colours: Chocolate (pictured)and Aubergine. The oversized collar can be worn either flipped up when braving the cold winds of winter, or buttoned down when the weather is treating you a little better.

This silky smooth modal jersey updates the classic ruffle front top, and the contrast binding gives it a little extra kick. Available in Cream with black binding, Black with cream binding and Aubergine with cream binding.

Prep with a twist ... who says a striped polo and a tweed blazer has to be stuffy? Extra long viscose spandex polo is available in 3 colour combos: Cream/Black, Evergreen/Fog and Chocolate/Gold. Check under the back collar for a little surprise...and check out those oversized wood buttons!
The tweed blazer has a nicely worn in look with some loose threads to give you a perfectly disheveled yet perfectly together look. How ... perfect! Available in one colour, as pictured.

Sportswear Editorial

Sportswear International is a globally distributed fashion magazine which covers jeanswear, sportswear, activewear, outerwear, contemporary clothing, young designers, new menswear and casualwear, footwear and the textile market. Published in 2 languages (English & German) this large format magazine is printed 6 times a year also with a special "Who's Who" edition printed annually since 1975.

Within the last issue MX Jeans was proudly highlighted in their "Next of Kin" section which defines new and upcoming brands. Pretty much they wrote a brief overview of what we're about, the direction of the new Spring 2007 collection we just finished designing, and other small tidbits of what we have planned for the future.

A little pat on the back for a job well done is always appreciated, and kind of makes us blush in silly places.

Shout Out Out Out Out

MX Jeans likes music ... a lot. So rather than pay for fancy ads along the highway for bored commuters to ogle, we'd rather just give jeans to good bands, so people can ogle them at their shows instead.

Yesterday Shout Out Out Out Out stopped by to pick up some new jeans to replace their stinky old coffee stained tour jeans. They've been crossing the country over the past few weeks promoting their new album "Not Saying Just Saying" and playing with the band Holy Fuck & Land of Talk, causing a stir and getting some toes tapping. Here are some random facts about Shout Out Out Out:

- They're bestest bestest friends, to the point that they all picked the same exact style of jean, the slim fit Joey. Good choice, I must say.

- Shout out out out out = two drummers + four bass players + two samplers + five synthesizers + one vocoder

- They prefer to go by the code names: Nik 7, Jaycie Jayce, Whitey Houston, Jack Wolfskin, Gravy, Snarf (we could have sworn one of their names was "Poppa" as well, too bad we're not good with names)

- They really like poutine

- One of them wears tighty whities and is not afraid to show it

To hear some of their music, see some more pics or send them a message, go to www.shoutoutoutoutout.com (that's 4 outs)
